Case IH 1931-13 - UCM – UCM: Rear pilot head #2 reporting that spool valve position sensor is not calibrated.

This fault indicates that the electronic spool valve position sensor for Rear Remote (Pilot Head) #2 has lost its calibration or has not been assigned its position parameters. Without calibration, the system cannot determine the neutral, fully open, or fully closed positions of the spool, and the remote valve will typically be disabled for safety.

   Check UCM power supply to verify the module is receiving proper voltage, as low voltage or ground faults can cause sensors to lose reference voltage and drop calibration

   Inspect the wiring harness and connector at the rear remote #2 spool valve position sensor for physical damage, corrosion, or water ingress

   Ensure the spool valve is not mechanically stuck or binding, which prevents it from returning to neutral and causes the sensor to read an implausible position

   Clean Connections

   Disconnect the harness at the UCM and the rear pilot head #2. Clean the pins with contact cleaner and ensure a tight connection.

   Perform Spool Valve Calibration

   If the valve or sensor was recently replaced, or if the system memory was cleared, a calibration procedure must be performed to assign the position parameters.

   Use a Diagnostic Tool

   Connect a compatible diagnostic tool (such as the Case IH AFS Pro monitor, dealer Electronic Service Tool, or an aftermarket tool like Jaltest AGV).

   Run Parameter Adjustment

   Navigate to the hydraulic/EHR calibration menu and select the parameter adjustment for Rear Remote #2. Follow the on-screen prompts to cycle the valve, which teaches the UCM the minimum, maximum, and neutral transducer voltages.

   Replace Faulty Components

   If the calibration fails repeatedly, or if the sensor reading is erratic during the test, the position transducer (sensor) is faulty and must be replaced. If there is no pressure or the spool is physically jammed, the internal valve mechanics have failed.
