1931-14 - UCM

Case IH 1931-14 - UCM – UCM: Information from rear pilot head #2 that the spool valve position sensor is not calibrated

Issue description

The underlying condition is a loss of calibration or an uncalibrated state for the spool valve position sensor on the #2 rear remote/pilot head.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • Magnum 400 AFS Connect

Check the cause

  1. Verify the calibration status of the rear remote valves via the tractor's display monitor

  2. Check if the UCM is properly communicating with the rear pilot head #2

  3. Verify if any other voltage or internal failure codes (such as 1931-09 for low voltage or 1931-13 for internal controller failure) are present alongside it

Repair steps

  1. Perform calibration

Navigate to the tractor's hydraulic/remote valve settings in the AFS Connect monitor and perform the spool valve calibration procedure for rear remote #2.

  2. Inspect hardware

If the calibration fails to complete, inspect the sensor, the pilot head itself, or the wiring harness connecting it to the UCM for physical faults.

Parts you might need

(2)
  • Rear Pilot Head #2

Remote Valve Actuator / Spool Valve Head

  • Spool Valve Position Sensor

often integrated into the pilot head assembly
