Case IH 19370 – DCU (Dosing Control Unit): UREA pressure too low (in 'commissioning' status) | Pump motor error during commissioning (pump not delivering) | P208B Reagent-pump not delivering.

During the system startup (commissioning) phase, the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system is unable to build adequate pressure. The system detects that the DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid / Urea) pump motor is either running but failing to deliver fluid, or the pump motor itself is experiencing a mechanical/electrical error preventing it from supplying the required pressure to the dosing valve.

   Verify that the DEF tank is not empty and that the fluid is clean and free of contamination.

   Ensure the DEF lines or pump are not frozen. Look for accompanying defrosting failure codes (e.g., 19334, 19335, 19336).

   Inspect the DEF suction line and backflow line for leaks, blockages, or kinks.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors going to the DEF pump and DCU for corrosion, bent pins, or open/short circuits.

   Use the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to command the DEF pump on and monitor the pressure sensor readings to verify if the pump motor is physically engaging.

   Clear Leading Faults

   If there are other active faults related to DEF temperature, tank level, or line heating, address those first, as they can prevent the pump from commissioning.

   Filter Maintenance

   Inspect and replace the DEF suction filter/screen inside the dosing unit if it is obstructed.

   Replace the Pump Module

   If the lines are clear, the wiring is intact, and the pump still fails to deliver fluid or build pressure, the DEF Dosing Pump (Supply Module) has failed internally and must be replaced.

   Software/Calibration

   Install the new DEF pump module. Note: Replacement of the DCU/DEF pump module often requires software installation and programming to the vehicle using the EST diagnostic tool.

   System Test

   Clear the DCU fault codes. Bring the engine to operating temperature and run it under load to initiate the SCR healing process and verify that the system builds adequate pressure without derating.
