Case IH 19386 – Engine Control Module (ECM): Timeout of CAN-Receive-Frame Torque / Speed control from ACC to ECM through TSC1_ACCE message active.

A Controller Area Network (CAN) communication error indicating that the Engine Control Module (ECM) has stopped receiving the expected Torque/Speed Control 1 (TSC1) CAN bus message from the ACC module.

   Perform a CAN network resistance check with the machine powered off and battery disconnected (should read approximately 60 ohms between CAN-H and CAN-L)

   Perform a CAN voltage check with the battery reconnected and key ON (CAN-H should rest at ~2.7V, CAN-L at ~2.3V)

   Inspect the wiring harness and routing between the ACC module and the ECM for chafed wires, moisture in connectors, or pushed-out pins

   Use the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) or a CAN bus analyzer to verify if the TSC1_ACCE message (ID 0x0C000013) is being transmitted by the ACC

   Power Down

   Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery cable.

   Inspect Connectors

   Locate the ACC module and the ECM. Disconnect the harness connectors at both modules and inspect the pins for corrosion, damage, or poor tension. Clean with contact cleaner if necessary.

   Test Harness Continuity

   Using a multimeter, test the continuity of the CAN-H and CAN-L wires end-to-end between the ACC and the ECM. Repair any breaks or high-resistance areas in the wiring.

   Check Terminating Resistors

   If the CAN resistance measured during diagnostics was 120 ohms or 0 ohms (shorted), locate and test the CAN terminating resistors on that specific bus segment. Replace if faulty.

   Module Replacement

   If the wiring harness, voltages, and resistors all test perfectly but the ACC module is still failing to broadcast the TSC1_ACCE message, the ACC module itself has likely suffered an internal failure and must be replaced.

   Clear Codes

   Reconnect the battery, turn the ignition ON, and use the Case IH EST to clear the 19386 fault code. Run the machine to verify the code does not return.
