Case IH 19412 – VCM (Vehicle Control Module): Crankcase pressure 2 (in blow by hose) is too low
Issue description
The pressure sensor monitoring the crankcase ventilation system is reading a pressure value below the acceptable threshold, which is closely associated with a physical disconnect in the system such as a dropped blow-by connection hose.

Check the cause
Visually inspect the blow-by connection hose routed between the blow-by valve and the air duct for a dropped, disconnected, or ruptured hose
Check the wiring and voltage of Crankcase Pressure Sensor 2 (located in the blow-by hose) for electrical failures
Repair steps
Access engine compartment
Access the engine compartment and locate the blow-by valve and the air duct.
Inspect and repair blow-by hose
Inspect the blow-by connection hose. If the hose has dropped (disconnected) or is split, reattach it securely using the appropriate hose clamps, or replace the hose entirely if the rubber has degraded.
Locate sensor
If the hose is secure and leak-free, locate Crankcase Pressure Sensor 2 on the blow-by hose.
Inspect and replace sensor
Disconnect the sensor harness, check for corrosion or pin damage, and replace the Crankcase Pressure Sensor if it is internally shorted or reading out of calibration.
Clear codes and verify
Clear the fault codes from the VCM/ECU and run the engine to verify that crankcase pressure returns to normal operating parameters.
