This code indicates that the Engine Control Unit (ECU) has experienced an internal hardware or software failure and is unable to successfully write data to its internal EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory).

   Verify the battery voltage and inspect the main power and ground connections to the ECU to rule out voltage drops, power interruptions, or electrical spikes.

   Check the engine wiring harness for chafing, shorts, or loose connector pins at the ECU.

   Use a dealer-level diagnostic tool (like Case IH EST or Jaltest) to clear the fault codes. If the code immediately returns upon cycling the key, the ECU's internal memory is permanently damaged.

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the battery disconnect switch and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical spikes.

   Locate the ECU

   Locate the Bosch engine ECU, typically mounted directly to the side of the FPT engine block on vibration isolators.
