Case IH 19467 – Engine Control Module (ECM): Engine speed monitoring counter
Issue description
An anomaly or discrepancy detected by the engine's speed monitoring system, which tracks the rotational signals from the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors to ensure the engine is operating safely and in sync.

Check the cause
Inspect the crankshaft and camshaft inductive sensors for physical damage or loose mounting
Check the 3-wire connector to the crankshaft sensor (e.g., connector X834) for secure connection, corrosion, or wire chafing
Perform an oscilloscope signal test to ensure a clean sine-wave signal without noise or interference. Channel A (Crankshaft) should range ± 20 V depending on engine speed, and Channel B (Camshaft) should also produce a clean sine-wave
Determine if the signal is noisy, missing, or erratic to isolate the fault to either the wiring harness or the sensor itself
Repair steps
Turn off the machine and disconnect the battery ground to ensure safety.
Locate the engine speed sensor (crankshaft or camshaft position sensor) on the engine block.
Disconnect the 3-wire harness connector from the sensor.
If diagnostic tests proved the wiring harness is damaged, repair the affected section of the harness to restore a clean signal to the ECM.
If the wiring is intact but the sensor failed the oscilloscope test, remove the retaining bolt and extract the faulty inductive sensor.
Install the new OEM engine speed sensor and tighten the retaining bolt to specification.
Reconnect the 3-wire harness connector securely.
Reconnect the battery, connect a diagnostic tool, and clear the ECM fault codes. Run the engine to verify the 19467 monitoring counter fault does not return.
