Case IH 19542 – VCM (Vehicle Control Module): Offset Min error detection based on the NOx Offset value

Issue description

Indicates an issue within the emissions system where the Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) sensor's offset value has fallen below the minimum acceptable threshold during system monitoring.

Applies to these machines

  • Tier 4b
  • Case N-series TLBs
  • Case IH / New Holland T7 Series

Check the cause

  1. Verify the wiring harness and connectors to the NOx sensor for damage, corrosion, or poor connections

  2. Check for exhaust leaks upstream of the NOx sensor, which can skew readings

  3. Ensure the DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) system is dosing correctly

Repair steps

  1. Replace the NOx sensor

Replace the NOx sensor if the offset value remains out of range after verifying the physical integrity of the exhaust and wiring.
