CAN bus communication breakdown (P0600). The control module is receiving an Electronic Engine Control 1 (EEC1) data frame over the SAE J1939 network where the 'torque driver demand' value is out of the expected range or corrupted.

   Check battery voltage and charging system, as low voltage frequently causes P0600 serial communication errors and corrupted EEC1 frames

   Inspect the SAE J1939 CAN bus wiring between the Engine ECU and the DCU for chafed wires, pinched harnesses, or terminating resistor failures

   Check wiring harness connectors at the DCU for moisture, corrosion, or backed-out pins

   Resolve Voltage Issues

   Load-test the batteries and verify the alternator output. Clean the battery terminals and chassis ground connections. If the battery is failing, replace it and clear the codes to see if the 19599 code returns.

   Repair CAN Wiring

   If voltage is good, use a multimeter to test the resistance of the J1939 CAN bus (should be approximately 60 ohms with the batteries disconnected). Repair any open circuits or shorts in the harness between the Engine ECU and the DCU.

   Clean Connections

   Apply dielectric grease to the DCU connectors and reseat them firmly.

   DCU Replacement

   If the wiring and power supply are perfectly intact but the DCU still cannot process the EEC1 frame, the DCU has internally failed. Replace the DCU.

   Software Flashing

   A new DCU requires software installation using the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST). Note: CNH will not issue the necessary passwords for the software flash unless proper troubleshooting has been documented via their ASSIST portal.
