This code indicates that the Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected a short circuit to ground either within its internal power stage hardware or on the external circuit it is trying to power.

   Verify Active vs. Passive: Use a diagnostic tool (such as the CNH EASy tool or Jaltest) to determine if the code is active or stored. Clear the code to see if it immediately returns upon key-on.

   Check Battery and Power Supply: Verify that the battery voltage is within spec and that the power supply to the ECM is stable, as voltage irregularities can trigger false power stage faults.

   Inspect the Engine Wiring Harness: Visually inspect the engine wiring harness for chafing, melting, or pinched wires that could be grounding out against the engine block or chassis.

   Check Connectors: Inspect the ECM connectors and actuator connectors for water intrusion, corrosion, or bent pins.
