Case IH 1967-04 - UCM – UCM: Rear pilot head #5 reporting supply voltage low

Issue description

The control module is detecting a voltage drop below the operational limit on the circuit supplying power to the 5th rear hydraulic remote valve actuator (pilot head).

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • Puma
  • Magnum
  • Steiger

Check the cause

  1. Verify the wiring harness between the UCM and the #5 rear remote pilot head for shorts to ground or broken wires causing the low voltage condition.

Repair steps

  1. Calibrate EHR valves

If a new valve pilot head is installed to correct the fault, an on-board calibration of the rear EHR valves is strictly required.

  2. Access calibration menu

Navigate to the 'H Menu' (HH MENU) on the ADIC dot matrix display and access Channel 1 (Valve Calibration).

  3. Connect tools and complete setup

Connect a pressure transducer and jumper harness to the valve to read calibration data and complete the setup.
