Case IH 1967-11 - UCM – UCM: Unexpected reset of rear pilot head #5

An electronic or mechanical fault where the control head for the #5 rear remote hydraulic valve is either resetting unexpectedly or detecting that the hydraulic spool valve is physically out of the neutral position when the machine is powered on.

   Cycle the power: Turn the tractor off, ensure the #5 remote lever/paddle in the cab is physically centered in the neutral detent, and turn the key back on

   Check supply voltage to the #5 pilot head to rule out voltage spikes or drops causing unexpected resets

3. 3

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the #5 rear remote valve for corrosion, moisture, or pin damage

4. 4

   Verify that the mechanical spool inside the hydraulic valve block is not sticking due to debris or cold/thick hydraulic fluid

   Remove actuator

   Remove the electronic pilot head actuator from the #5 rear remote valve block.

   Verify spool movement

   Verify the mechanical spool moves freely.

   Replace pilot head

   Replace the pilot head if the internal position sensor has failed.
