Case IH 19789 (DTC F69F) - ECU – Engine Control Unit (ECU): SCR Inducement: Warning, triggered by DEF/AdBlue dosing interruption fault
Issue description
This fault code indicates that the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system has detected an interruption in the delivery of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) / AdBlue into the exhaust stream. Because the system cannot properly dose the exhaust to reduce NOx emissions, the ECU triggers an "SCR Inducement" warning to the operator. If the root cause is not resolved, this warning will eventually escalate to torque reduction (derate) and a Level 3 creep mode.

Check the cause
Check DEF fluid level and quality: Ensure the tank is not empty and the fluid meets ISO 22241-1 standards. Contaminated or degraded DEF can cause crystallization and blockages.
Inspect DEF lines for blockages or leaks: Check the DEF suction line, pressure line, and reverting valve for physical blockages, kinks, or leaks.
Check for related fault codes: Look for accompanying codes that might pinpoint the failure, such as 24141 (DEF dosing valve blocked), 24177 (DEF suction line blocked), or 857A / 879A (DEF dosing valve or tank heater ECU driver over-temperature).
Inspect the DEF Dosing Valve (Injector): Remove the doser from the exhaust pipe and inspect the nozzle for severe urea crystallization or physical damage.
Electrical Testing: Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the DEF dosing valve and the DEF supply module (pump) for corrosion, chafing, or loose pins.
Run a Dosing System Test: Use a diagnostic tool (like CNH EST or TEXA) to command a manual DEF dosing test to verify if the pump builds pressure and the injector sprays correctly.
Repair steps
Relieve System Pressure
Turn off the machine and wait for the SCR system to complete its automatic purge cycle (this can take up to 70 seconds after shutdown). Do not disconnect lines while the system is pressurized.
Clear Blockages
If crystallization is found in the lines or the injector nozzle, clean them using warm distilled water. If the lines are heavily clogged or damaged, replace them.
Replace the Dosing Valve
If the injector is electrically dead or permanently clogged, unbolt it from the exhaust stream, disconnect the fluid line and electrical connector, and install a new OEM dosing valve.
Replace the Supply Module / Pump
If the pump fails to build pressure or has an internal failure, disconnect the suction/pressure lines and the main electrical harness. Unbolt the module from its mounting bracket and install the replacement unit.
Reprogramming
If the main DEF supply module/pump is replaced, the new module must be programmed/calibrated to the vehicle's ECU using a CNH diagnostic tool.
Clear Codes and Test
Clear the F69F / 19789 fault code. Run the engine until it reaches operating temperature (past the 10-12 minute Dew Point delay) to allow the system to enter closed-loop dosing. Verify that no warnings return.
