Case IH 19799 (DTC FC9F) - ECU – Engine ECU / SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) System: SCR Inducement: Warning, triggered by DEF/AdBlue Quality fault.

The emissions system has detected that the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) / AdBlue in the tank is of poor quality, degraded, or contaminated. This triggers an "Inducement" warning. If the root cause is not repaired, the system will escalate to Level 1 inducement (torque reduction, code 19800) and eventually Level 3 inducement (creep mode/severe power loss, code 19801).

   Test the DEF fluid using a DEF Refractometer to ensure the concentration is exactly 32.5% urea.

   Inspect the DEF tank for dirt, water, or chemical contamination.

   Inspect the DEF Quality Sensor and Head Unit for physical damage, extreme corrosion, or wiring harness issues.

   Drain and Flush

   If the DEF fluid fails the refractometer test or shows signs of contamination, completely drain and flush the DEF tank.

   Refill

   Refill the tank with fresh, high-quality DEF (AdBlue).

   Replace Sensor (If Necessary)

   If the DEF fluid is pure but the code persists, the DEF Quality Sensor/Head Unit has failed and must be replaced. Remove the old DEF Head Unit from the tank and install the new OEM assembly.

   Clear Codes and Validate

   Use a diagnostic scan tool to clear the fault codes.

   Inducement Validation Restart

   You must activate the "Inducement Validation Restart mode" (a full power restart for inducement validation, associated with code 19809) to clear the inducement state and restore full engine power.
