Case IH 2092 – Transmission Controller (TCU / TRANS): Clutch 4 not calibrated
Issue description
The transmission controller has not successfully completed the calibration sequence for the Clutch 4 pack, or the calibration data has been lost. This condition is standard when a new controller is installed on the tractor, or if the system memory is cleared.

Check the cause
Check transmission fluid temperature (must be at least 60 °C / 140 °F before calibration is possible)
Check the display for any other active fault codes (a 4-digit code starting with '2' indicates a hardware fault like a shorted solenoid or sensor that must be fixed first)
Ensure the tractor is parked safely with the shuttle and range levers in neutral
Repair steps
Warm Up
Operate the tractor until the transmission fluid reaches operating temperature (minimum 60 °C), then shut the engine off.
Enter Calibration Mode
Start the engine while holding the 'Reset' and 'Prog' (Program) buttons on the display.
Navigate to Transmission
Use the increase/decrease arrows to navigate the menu to the Transmission section, and press the program/enter key.
Select the Clutch
With the shuttle and range levers in neutral, use the upshift or downshift switch to select the specific clutch (Clutch 4).
Run Calibration
Follow the on-screen prompts to maintain a stable engine RPM while the controller automatically adjusts the quick-fill time for the clutch.
Save and Exit
Once the display indicates the calibration is finished, use the exit buttons to leave the menu. Shut off the tractor for at least 30 seconds to save the new parameters to the controller's memory, then restart.
