Case IH 2133 (5961.04) - DEC – DEC (Driveline Electronic Control): Even Shaft Speed - short to GND

Indicates an electrical issue (short to ground) in the circuit for the Even Shaft Speed sensor. The controller detects that the voltage on the sensor's signal circuit has dropped to zero (or near zero), meaning the wire is likely chafed and touching the tractor's metal chassis (ground), or the sensor itself has failed internally.

   Visually inspect the wiring harness running from the DEC module to the transmission speed sensors for pinched wires, chafing against the transmission housing, or melted insulation.

   Disconnect the Even Shaft Speed sensor and check the connector for water ingress, dirt, or bent pins.

   Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the signal wire to the chassis ground. If there is continuity when the sensor is unplugged, the wiring harness is shorted and must be repaired. If there is no continuity in the harness, the internal circuitry of the sensor itself is likely shorted.

   Repair or replace

   Repair the damaged section of the wiring harness or replace the Even Shaft Speed sensor located on the transmission housing.

   Clear the codes via the tractor's Pro700/AFS display or diagnostic tool.
