   Verify the concern with the operator and, if possible, operate the vehicle to confirm the problem

   Monitor live data using the diagnostic screens on the machine's monitor (e.g., Universal Display Plus) to check the live voltage reading of the sensor

   Visually inspect the wiring harness and connectors for damage, specifically looking for a short to a high voltage source in the reference power circuit

   Disconnect the sensor and use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the sensor connector pins and the controller pins to check for continuity or shorts to power/ground

   Repair

   Locate and repair any damaged wiring in the harness.

   Replace

   If the wiring is intact, replace the faulty position sensor.

   Calibrate

   If a position sensor is replaced or if a fault code indicates it has lost its calibration, perform a position sensor calibration by ensuring the transmission is in neutral and running the specific calibration routine through the machine's display or diagnostic menu.
