Case IH 2211 – ZDC: Transmission Lubrication Oil Pressure Sensor Signal out of Range High

The signal voltage returning from the Transmission Lubrication Oil Pressure Sensor to the controller is exceeding the maximum calibrated threshold ("Signal out of Range High"). This typically points to a short to battery voltage in the sensor's wiring harness, an open circuit, or an internal failure of the sensor itself.

   Check transmission fluid level and condition to rule out erratic pressure readings caused by low fluid.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors at the transmission oil pressure sensor for damaged or melted insulation, broken wires, or corrosion inside the connector.

   Use a multimeter to check the sensor harness for a short to voltage or an open circuit. If wiring is intact and supplying correct reference voltage, the sensor has likely failed internally.

   Locate the Sensor

   The transmission oil pressure sensor is located on the transmission case. You will typically need to remove a small access panel to reach it.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the factory wiring harness from the sensor.

   Unscrew the old sensor from the transmission housing.

   Prepare the New Sensor

   Apply a dab of thread sealant to the threads of the new sensor to prevent leaks.

   Install

   Thread the new sensor right into the transmission case and tighten it securely.

   Reconnect

   Plug the factory wiring harness back into the new sensor (it should plug right in with no modifications needed).

   Clear Codes

   Use the tractor's monitor (such as the AFS Pro 1200) or a diagnostic scan tool to navigate to the "Faults and Warnings" menu and clear the inactive fault codes.
