Case IH 2213 – ZDC: ZDC - Bottom of Inching Pedal Switch Not Plausible (CCO Switch)

The controller is receiving an implausible signal from the switch located at the bottom of the inching pedal's travel. This typically means the switch is stuck open, stuck closed, out of adjustment, or its signal does not match the reading from the pedal's position potentiometer.

   Verify if the inching pedal feels physically stuck, jumpy, or if the transmission fails to disengage when the pedal is fully depressed.

   Locate the CCO switch at the base of the inching pedal assembly and check the wiring harness and connector for corrosion, broken wires, or a poor connection.

   Use a multimeter to test the bottom-of-clutch switch continuity. It should show a clear change in state (open to closed) only when the pedal reaches the very bottom of its travel.

   Verify that the transmission charge pressure is within spec, as shift delays or lazy shifts can sometimes trigger related codes.

   Access the Pedal Assembly

   Remove the lower dash/console panels in the cab to access the inching pedal linkage and electrical components.

   Adjust the Switch

   Loosen the jam nut on the switch bracket and adjust the switch so that it is fully actuated only when the pedal bottoms out. Tighten the jam nut.

   Replace the Switch

   If the switch fails the continuity test or is physically broken, disconnect the wiring harness, unthread the old switch from the mounting bracket, and install the new switch.

   Calibrate the Transmission

   After adjusting or replacing the switch, you must perform a hydrostat calibration / clutch fill time calibration using the tractor's diagnostic monitor to re-sync the pedal potentiometer and the new CCO switch limits.
