   Inspect the transmission harness for damaged wiring that may be rubbing against the chassis and shorting to ground

   Test the Synchro 7 solenoid coil for an internal short or failure

   Check the TCU and solenoid connectors for loose connections, moisture, or bent pins

   If the wiring and solenoid test within specification, check the Transmission Controller (TCU) for an internal failure

   Identify the physical location of the Synchro 7 solenoid on the transmission valve manifold.

   Disconnect the electrical harness and use a multimeter to verify if the short is in the harness or the solenoid itself.

   Repair the damaged section of the wiring harness, or replace the solenoid valve assembly if the coil has failed internally.
