Case IH 2239 – ZDC: Bottom of Inching Pedal Switch Status not Acknowledged Within Expected Time (CCO Switch)

Indicates a communication or mechanical failure in the Clutch Cut-Off (CCO) circuit. The controller is not receiving the expected closed/open signal from the bottom-of-clutch (BOC) switch within the programmed time limit when the pedal is actuated.

   Check the inching pedal to ensure it moves freely without binding, and verify the mechanical installation of the pedal, potentiometer, and BOC switch assembly is proper and tight.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors going to the bottom inching pedal switch for open circuits, shorts to ground, or loose pins.

   Check for other related transmission fault codes (such as potentiometer or FNRP pod faults) and troubleshoot those first, as they may share a common ground or connector.

   Access the Switch

   Locate the inching pedal switch assembly (CCO switch) at the base of the clutch pedal inside the cab.

   Test/Replace

   Test the switch for continuity when the pedal is fully depressed. If the switch fails to close/open or the mechanical bracket is bent, replace the switch or adjust the bracket so the switch is properly actuated at the bottom of the pedal travel.

   Recalibrate

   If any components (switch, potentiometer, or pedal assembly) have been newly installed, incorrectly installed, or loosened, you must perform a clutch calibration.

   Calibration Process

   Use the tractor's instrument cluster (PROG key) or the Electronic Service Tool (EST) to navigate to the transmission calibration menu and run the inching pedal and clutch calibration procedures.
