Case IH 2251 (519183.17) - DEC – DEC: Synchro S Solenoid - LSD short to GND
Issue description
The controller is detecting that the circuit between the Low Side Driver and the solenoid is shorted to ground. This means the circuit is completing to ground prematurely, which can cause the solenoid to remain energized or fail to operate.
Applies to these machines

Check the cause
Check the wiring harness connection from the DEC to the specific Synchro Solenoid for a short to ground (chafed wires touching the chassis).
Test the solenoid coil itself for an internal shorted condition.
Verify if the DEC's digital Low Side Driver (LSD) output is detecting a low output when the circuit is commanded OFF.
Repair steps
