2252 (519183.03) - DEC

Case IH 2252 (519183.03) - DEC – DEC: Synchro S Solenoid - LSD short to high voltage

Issue description

The Low Side Driver (LSD) circuit for the 'Synchro S Solenoid' is experiencing a short to high voltage (short to battery/12V).

Applies to these machines

  • MAXXUM T4E

Check the cause

  1. Check the wiring harness between the DEC and the Synchro S Solenoid for chafing or melted insulation that could cause a short to a 12V power source.

  2. Test the solenoid connector for proper voltage and ground.

  3. Verify the internal resistance of the Synchro S Solenoid to ensure it has not failed internally.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Transmission Synchronizer Solenoid (Synchro S Solenoid) / Drivetrain Solenoid Valve

Consult a Case IH dealer with the machine's specific PIN/Serial Number to look up the exact proprietary part number for the Synchro S Solenoid on the DEC block.
