Case IH 2260 – ZDC: CAN Communication Fault

The system is receiving a faulty message regarding the ExtDrivetrainStateDes2 signal because the message 'Counter' is incorrect, causing the system to assume a transmission error signal.

   Verify the Controller: Identify if the machine has an RC30 Hydraulics module or a ZDC module.

   Check CAN Bus Integrity: Inspect the CAN wiring harness connecting the drivetrain sensors/modules to the main hydraulic/drivetrain controller for chafing, corrosion, or loose pins.

   Check Terminating Resistors: Ensure the CAN network has the proper resistance (typically 60 ohms across CAN High and CAN Low with the battery disconnected).

   Monitor CAN Traffic: Use a diagnostic tool to monitor the ExtDrivetrainStateDes2 message to see if the module is dropping offline intermittently.
