Case IH 2266 (519186.05) - DEC – Engine Controller (ENG): Electric Lift Pump for Engine Fuel Supply Voltage too low
Issue description
The engine control module (ECM) has detected an out-of-range signal—specifically, an open circuit or abnormally low voltage/current, meaning the ECM is not detecting the proper voltage supplying the electric lift pump for the engine fuel supply.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the electric lift pump (or the suspected solenoid) for any signs of wear, corrosion, or physical damage.
Ensure the connector is fully seated and that no pins are pushed back or corroded.
Use a multimeter to test the wiring between the component and the ECM to verify continuity and rule out a broken wire.
Test the resistance of the component itself (lift pump motor or solenoid coil) to ensure it is not internally shorted or open.
Repair steps
Disconnect battery
Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.
Repair wiring or replace connector
If the diagnostic checks reveal a broken wire or corroded connector between the ECM and the component, repair the wiring harness or replace the damaged connector pigtail.
Replace faulty component
If the wiring is intact but the component failed the resistance test, remove the faulty electric lift pump (or solenoid) and install the replacement part.
Reconnect wiring harness
Reconnect the wiring harness, ensuring the connector clicks securely into place.
Reconnect battery
Reconnect the battery.
Clear fault code
Clear the fault code from the ECM using a diagnostic tool and restart the system to confirm the fix.
