Check the cause
Check for accompanying CAN 2 network codes or Multicontroller faults to determine if the issue is physical CAN bus wiring.
Test the Multicontroller input using a diagnostic tool (like Case IH EST) to verify if the forward button is sticking, failing to read, or sending erratic signals.
Inspect the CAN 2 wiring harness connecting the armrest/Multicontroller to the main cab bulkhead and transmission controllers for chafing, bent pins, or corrosion.
Repair steps
Repair CAN 2 wiring
Repair or replace any damaged CAN 2 wiring found between the armrest and the receiving ECU.
Replace Multicontroller joystick
Replace the Multicontroller joystick if the internal microswitches (specifically the forward travel button) have failed and are sending corrupted data to the network.
Clear codes and test-drive
Clear the inactive codes and test-drive the tractor on a slope to verify the Anti-Jackknife trailer braking feature engages properly.
