Case IH 2364-05 - BCM – BCM: Work lamp #11 - open circuit

The control module is sending power to the work lamp circuit, but the electrical loop is broken (open), meaning no current is flowing. This is most commonly caused by a burnt-out bulb, a disconnected plug, or a severed wire.

   Use the tractor's AFS Pro display to manually select the work lights and switch them ON to verify the circuit status

   Visually inspect Work Lamp #11 to see if the bulb or LED array is burnt out or physically damaged (most common cause)

   Inspect the work light circuit fuses (e.g., F-031, F-323) and the corresponding work light relay (e.g., K-031) for proper operation

   Perform a voltage drop/continuity test using a Digital Multimeter (DMM) from the BCM output to the lamp connector to locate the open circuit

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable before performing electrical repairs to prevent sparks or module damage.

   Address the Component

   If the diagnostic checks revealed a burnt-out lamp, remove the mounting hardware, unplug the pigtail connector, and install a new work lamp. If a fuse or relay was found to be faulty, replace it with an OEM equivalent of the same amperage.

   Repair the Harness

   If the DMM test located a broken wire or a corroded connector pin between the BCM and the lamp, splice and seal the broken wire, or replace the damaged connector housing/pins.

   Reassemble and Test

   Reconnect the negative battery cable. Turn the ignition ON and use the cab switch or AFS display to activate the work lamps. Verify that Work Lamp #11 illuminates and that the 2364-05 fault code changes from 'Active' to 'Stored' or clears entirely.
