Case IH 2367-07 - BCM – Body Control Module (BCM): Left Turn Signal Lights Command - Switch Error

Issue description

Indicates a communication or plausibility error with the 'Left Turn Signal Lights Command'. The BCM is receiving an erratic, stuck, or implausible signal from the left turn switch on the steering column, preventing the CAN bus from properly broadcasting the left turn command.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • Case IH Maxxum Series (5120, 5130, 5140, 5150)
  • Case IH CX Series (CX50, CX70, CX90, CX100)
  • Case IH MX Series (MX100, MX110, MX135, MX170)
  • Case IH Row Crop / Magnum Tractors (7110, 7120, 7230, 8910)
  • Case IH Steiger Series
  • Case IH Puma Series

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the turn signal/combination switch on the steering column for physical damage, sticking, or failure to return to the neutral position.

  2. Check the cab/passenger compartment fuse box for any blown fuses related to the BCM or lighting circuits.

  3. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the turn signal switch and the BCM. Look for loose pins, corrosion, or chafing that could cause an open or short circuit.

  4. Disconnect the switch and use a multimeter to test for proper continuity when the stalk is switched to the left turn position.

  5. If the switch tests good, verify the integrity of the CAN High and CAN Low lines between the steering column harness and the BCM to ensure the module is actually receiving the physical input to translate into the SPN 2367 command.

Repair steps

  1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery cable

    Prevents electrical shorts.

  2. Remove the steering column shrouds/plastic covers

Access the base of the turn signal switch assembly.

  3. Disconnect the electrical harness connector

Carefully disconnect from the turn signal switch.

  4. Remove the mounting screws or retaining clips

Securing the switch to the steering column.

  5. Remove the faulty switch and install the new OEM replacement switch

Install in the exact same orientation.

  6. Reinstall the mounting hardware and reconnect the electrical harness

Ensure the connector is fully seated and locked.

  7. Reinstall the steering column covers

  8. Reconnect the battery, turn the ignition on, and test

Test the left turn signal operation.

  9. Clear the fault code

Use a diagnostic scan tool (such as the Case IH Electronic Service Tool) to clear the 2367-07 fault code from the BCM memory.
