Case IH 2375 – Transmission Control Unit (TCU) / Central Control Unit (CCU): Creeper - cold oil

The transmission oil is too cold for the creeper gear (super-reducer) to engage properly, which can cause an inconsistent relationship between the transmission output speed and the engine speed. Cold oil can delay the engagement of the lever, and the operator may have to engage the lever several times before the tractor will move.

   Drive the unit to raise the transmission oil temperature. Normal operating temperature for fluid calibration/testing is typically above 60°C (140°F).

   Once the oil is warm, attempt to engage and disengage the creeper gear to see if the code clears.

   Check the transmission wiring harness for short circuits or open circuits.

   Harness Repair

   If a short circuit or open circuit is found during the diagnostic inspection, repair or replace the affected transmission wire harness as required.

   Software Update

   If the wire harness is okay but the fault recurs, connect your diagnostic tool and download the correct/latest level of software to the transmission controller.

   Module Replacement

   If the fault still recurs after a software flash and harness verification, remove and replace the Central Control Unit (CCU) / Transmission Controller.

   Sensor/Valve Verification

   Verify that the Transmission Oil Temperature Sensor is reading accurately and that the Creeper Solenoid Valve is not sticking due to cold, thick fluid.
