Case IH 2391 – CCM HD CVT: Hydraulic Trans Lube - Oil low pressure circuit pressure is too high

The pressure sensor monitoring the transmission's low-pressure lubrication circuit is detecting hydraulic pressure that exceeds the maximum allowable threshold programmed into the system.

   Check the hydraulic circuit for physical blockages or restrictions that could be causing abnormally high back pressure

   Check hydraulic filter blockage gauges (if equipped) to see if a restricted filter is causing pressure anomalies in the lubrication circuit

   Verify that the correct hydraulic transmission fluid (such as Case IH Hy-Tran Premium) is being used, as incorrect fluid viscosity can impact circuit pressures

   De-pressurize the System

   Always de-pressurize the hydraulic pipes and system before attempting any adjustments, removing sensors, or opening valves.

   Inspect Valves

   Inspect the low-pressure circuit's relief valves or directional valves for sticking spools, which can cause pressure spikes.

   Flush the System (If Contaminated)

   If the high pressure is caused by particulate buildup blocking the lube circuit, drain the system, flush it at low pressure with clean and compatible fluid, and refill.

   Replace Filters

   Always change the hydraulic filters after flushing the system or if a blockage is suspected.
