Case IH 2519 (517974.07) - DEC – UCM (Universal Control Module): Synchronizer not moving towards F2

The measured synchronizer position is lower than the prefixed threshold.

   Check that the tractor battery power supply has not been connected to an external power supply. If an external power supply is connected, disconnect it and test the system for normal operation.

   Check for an open circuit between connector X-533 pin 2, wire 7671A (BL) and X-533 pin 4, wire 7672A (RD).

   Check for a short circuit between connector X-533 pin 2, wire 7671A (BL) and X-533 pin 4, wire 7672A (RD).

   Check for a short to ground between connector X-533 pin 2, wire 7671A (BL) and ground, and X-533 pin 4, wire 7672A (RD) and ground.

   Repair wiring harness

   If an open circuit, short circuit, or short to ground is indicated during the diagnostic checks, repair or replace the wiring harness as required.

   Replace position sensor

   If the wiring harness is okay, remove and replace the F2/R1 synchronizer position sensor.

   Update UCM software

   If the fault is still present after sensor replacement, download the correct (latest) level of software to the UCM.

   Replace UCM

   If the fault recurs after the software update, remove and replace the UCM.

   Clear codes and test

   When the cause of the error code has been rectified, clear the error code (via the H8 or HC menu on the EST/display) and test the system for normal operation.
