Case IH 2564 (519167.18) - DEC – UCM: HST Inlet (Hydro Gport) - Low Pressure Warning

Issue description

The system has detected that the hydrostatic charge pressure at the Gport inlet is below the acceptable minimum threshold. This can be caused by a genuine low-pressure condition in the hydrostatic drive, a faulty sensor, or an electrical/wiring issue.

Applies to these machines

  • VESTRUM CVX
  • Case IH Puma CVX
  • Case IH Puma CVT

Check the cause

  1. Verify that the tractor battery power supply has not been connected to an external power supply (like a jump box or external charger). If an external power supply is connected, disconnect it and test the system for normal operation.

  2. Start the engine and run it at 2000 RPM. Check the battery voltage on the instrument cluster to ensure the charging system is operating correctly and not causing voltage drops to the UCM.

  3. Inspect the hydro Gport pressure sensor (charge pressure sensor hydrostat) connector X-916 and the UCM connector X-955. Ensure the connectors are securely connected, not damaged, the pins are in the correct position, and the fit is tight.

  4. Disconnect connector X-916 and verify that the sensor is receiving a +5 Volt reference signal from the UCM.

Repair steps

  1. Resolve Wiring/Voltage Issues

If the +5V reference is missing or the wiring harness shows damage between X-916 and X-955, repair the wiring harness.

  2. Replace the Sensor

If the wiring, connectors, and system voltage are all good, the primary failure mode for this code is a faulty hydro Gport pressure sensor. Remove and replace the sensor.

  3. Check Hydraulic Pressure

If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, a mechanical gauge should be used to verify actual hydrostatic charge pressure at the Gport to rule out a failing charge pump or internal hydrostatic leak.

  4. Clear Codes

Once the physical repair is made, use the tractor's diagnostic menu (or electronic service tool) to clear the stored error code.

  5. Test Operation

Test the tractor's transmission system under load to ensure normal operation and verify the code does not return.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Hydro Gport Pressure Sensor (Charge Pressure Sensor Hydrostat)

Located on the hydrostatic unit of the CVT/AutoCommand transmission. Ensure the replacement sensor is rated for the correct 5V reference system.
