Case IH 2567 (517958.01) - DEC – UCM (Universal Control Module): Gear Pump (Hydro Filter) - Pressure Too Low

The system has detected that the hydraulic pressure at the gear pump (specifically measured at the hydro filter/charge pressure circuit) has dropped below the minimum acceptable threshold.

   Check for concurrent error codes being displayed; if present, diagnose those first before proceeding.

   Inspect the hydro filter pressure sensor (charge pressure sensor) connector X-523 and the UCM controller connector X-955. Ensure connectors are fully seated, undamaged, and pins are tight.

   Disconnect connector X-523, turn the ignition switch ON, and measure for a +5 Volt reference signal at the connector.

   Ensure the tractor battery has not been connected to an external power supply. Start the engine, run at 2000 rev/min, and check battery voltage on the instrument cluster to rule out charging system anomalies.

   If electrical circuits are intact, perform a manual hydraulic pressure test on the system (referencing Hydraulic Systems - Pressure Test 35.000) to determine if the pressure drop is a true mechanical/hydraulic failure.

   Rectify Wiring/Connector Issues

   If connector X-523 or X-955 shows damage, corrosion, or loose pins during the diagnostic checks, repair or replace the wiring harness/connector as required.

   Replace the Sensor

   If the +5V reference is present but the sensor is outputting out-of-range or erratic values (and manual pressure tests confirm actual hydraulic pressure is normal), remove and replace the faulty hydro filter pressure sensor (charge pressure sensor).

   Address Hydraulic/Mechanical Faults

   If the manual pressure test confirms that the gear pump pressure is genuinely too low, the repair will require inspecting the hydro filter for clogs, checking the charge pump for internal wear, or repairing the hydraulic circuit.

   Clear Codes

   Once the physical repair is complete, use the tractor's diagnostic menu (or electronic service tool) to clear the error code.

   Test Operation

   Test the system for normal operation under load to ensure the code does not return.
