Case IH 2568 (517958.18) - DEC – UCM: Gear pump (hydro filter) - low pressure warning

The system has detected a hydraulic pressure drop below the acceptable threshold at the gear pump or hydro filter. The primary failure mode associated with this code is a faulty hydro filter pressure sensor (also known as the charge pressure sensor).

   Check that the tractor battery power supply has not been connected to an external power supply. Disconnect if applicable and retest.

   Inspect the hydro filter pressure sensor connector (X-523 or X-916) and the UCM controller connector (X-955) for damage, correct pin position, and tight fit.

   Disconnect the sensor connector and check for a +5 Volt supply.

   Inspect the wiring harness for any short circuits.

   If the wire harness is okay, verify and download the correct level of software.

   Rectify root cause

   Replace the faulty hydro filter pressure sensor or repair the wiring harness based on diagnostic findings. If the fault recurs after software verification, the UCM may need replacement.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the special diagnostic tool (part number 380000843) to the diagnostic connector and turn the key start switch ON.

   Access diagnostic menu

   Access the 'H Menu' (the dot matrix display will show 'HH MENU' to indicate activation) to access the universal controller's diagnostic menu.

   Clear error code

   Clear the stored error code from the Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM).

   Test system

   Test the hydraulic system for normal operation to ensure the low-pressure warning does not return.
