Case IH 2571 – UCM: Hydro Gport pressure sensor - open circuit or short circuit to ground

The system detects that the electrical signal from the hydrostatic charge pressure sensor (Gport) is either completely broken (open circuit) or shorted directly to the ground, resulting in an abnormal or missing voltage reading.

   Inspect the hydro Gport pressure sensor (also referred to as the charge pressure sensor hydrostat) connector, identified as X-916.

   Inspect the UCM connector, identified as X-955.

   Ensure both connectors are securely connected, not damaged, the pins are in the correct position, and the fit is tight.

   Disconnect connector X-916 and check the wiring harness for a +5 Volt reference signal to ensure the sensor is receiving power from the module.

   Check the diagnostic display for any other active error codes. If no other error codes are displayed, perform a hydraulic system pressure test to rule out a mechanical fault or a failure in the hydraulic circuit.

   Turn off the machine and secure it for maintenance.

   If the diagnostic checks reveal damaged wiring, a faulty connector, or bent pins at connector X-916 or X-955, repair the wiring harness or replace the connector terminals as required.

   If the wiring and the +5V reference voltage are intact but the code persists, the hydro Gport pressure sensor itself has failed internally. Remove the faulty sensor from the hydrostatic circuit.

   Install the new pressure sensor and securely reconnect connector X-916.

   Once the physical repair is complete, use the tractor's diagnostic menu (H Menu) or electronic service tool to clear the stored error code from the UCM.

   Test the tractor's hydraulic and transmission systems for normal operation to verify the fault does not return.
