Case IH 2575 – Transmission Control Module (UCM): F2/R1 synchronizer transducer - transducer failure

Failure or loss of plausible signal from the position sensor (potentiometer / LVDT proximity sensor) that monitors the engagement of the F2/R1 transmission synchronizer. The system cannot accurately determine the position of the synchronizer, which can prevent the transmission from shifting properly or cause it to default to a neutral state.

   Access the H9 voltmeter diagnostic menu on the tractor's display to monitor the sensor circuits live for sudden, erratic changes.

   Inspect connector X533 (Potentiometer Synchroniser F2 - R1) on the transmission harness for moisture, corrosion, or backed-out pins.

   Test the transducer pins against OEM baseline readings: LVDT secondary winding 1 (Pin B5) 450-750; LVDT secondary winding 2 (Pin B6) 450-750; Proximity sensor (Pin B4) 50-800; Electrovalve (Pin A6) 350-500 mA.

   Wiring Repair

   If connector X533 or the harness shows damage, repair the wiring and re-test the system.

   Sensor Replacement

   If the wiring is intact but the sensor fails the voltage/resistance checks, replace the F2/R1 synchronizer position sensor.

   Mechanical Inspection

   If the sensor is functioning but the code persists (or if there is grinding/shifting failure), the transmission synchronizer assembly itself may be mechanically damaged and require splitting the tractor for replacement.

   Clear Codes

   Once the repair is made, access the H8 menu on the steering controller to clear stored calibration values and error codes (this resets EEPROM values back to default).

   Perform Calibration

   Recalibrate the synchronizer proximity sensors by selecting the 'Pro' option in the calibration menu. Follow the on-screen prompts to calibrate both the disengaged position (display will show 'O xxx') and the engaged position (display will show 'C xxx').
