Case IH 2611 – Transmission Control Unit (TCU): Bottom of inching pedal switch not plausible (CCO switch)

The control module is receiving an electrical reading from the CCO switch that does not make logical sense given the current state of the tractor (e.g., the switch is reading as "open" or "closed" when other sensors indicate it shouldn't be, or the signal is out of the specified voltage range).

   Test the transmission controller harness (e.g., Pin 22 powered by the CCO switch). Remove the diodes banded to the harness next to the transmission control box to test the electrical system without starting the engine

   Check if the bottom inching pedal switch is stuck in an open circuit or if the bottom inching relay is stuck open

   Check if the inching pedal sensor is not calibrated or has drifted out of its specified range

   Access pedal assembly

   Access the pedal assembly in the cab to locate the inching pedal switch.

   Inspect wiring harness

   Inspect the wiring harness and connector at the switch for corrosion, short circuits, or cable breaks.

   Test and replace switch

   If the switch fails a continuity test (e.g., stuck open), remove the mounting hardware and replace the switch.

   Perform adjustments

   Perform the "Inching Pedal Switch Adjustment" and "Brake Pedal Adjustments" as outlined in Section 9001 of the Magnum service manual.

   Perform calibrations

   Perform a clutch fill time calibration and hydrostat calibration via the tractor's display or diagnostic tool to resolve any lingering harsh or lazy shifting.
