   Check the wiring harness and connectors for the Synchro 5/7 position sensor/potentiometer for damage, corrosion, or loose connections.

   Verify that the hydraulic solenoids controlling the 5/7 synchronizer are receiving proper voltage and delivering adequate pressure to move the shift fork.

   Attempt a transmission calibration procedure, as plausibility errors often occur if the TCU loses the learned engagement points for the synchronizer.
