Issue description
SPN 519183 FMI 01. The control module evaluates the position or movement of a Synchronizer Shift Motor / Stepper Motor (Synchro S/M). The fault triggers because the feedback data is valid but the value is below the normal operational range, meaning the synchronizer is likely failing to physically reach its commanded position or the mechanical linkage is binding.

Check the cause
Monitor Synchro Position: Use a diagnostic tool to monitor the synchro potentiometer position (typically displayed in a range, e.g., 20-80) while commanding shifts.
Manual Actuation: Attempt to manually command the synchro to the neutral position (using the range switch or upshift/downshift buttons depending on the model) to see if the motor responds and the position sensor value changes accordingly.
Circuit Checks: Verify the wiring harness between the TCU and the Synchro S/M for high resistance, which could cause a voltage drop resulting in a 'below normal range' reading.
Mechanical Binding: Check for mechanical binding inside the transmission that would prevent the synchronizer from fully engaging, which causes the plausibility check to fail.
