Case IH 2620 (519185.01) - DEC – DEC: Shuttle lever forward switch - invalid signal

The controller is receiving a signal from the Forward/Neutral (F/N) shuttle lever or synchronizer switch that is mathematically valid but falls outside the expected operational range, failing the system's plausibility check.

   Check the instrument cluster to verify if the power shuttle light is flashing a secondary flash code

2. 2

   Test the signal voltage of the shuttle lever forward switch (an invalid signal often means voltage is too high, too low, or erratic)

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the steering column shuttle lever and the DEC for open circuits, short circuits, or corrosion

   Swap the forward/reverse synchro position sensor with another synchro sensor (e.g., the 1-4 or 5-8 synchro sensor) to see if the fault code follows the sensor

   Attempt a transmission synchronizer calibration (e.g., H-Menu 'H6 SYNCHRONISER CALIBRATION VIEW') to see if the DEC can relearn the switch positions

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Access the Shuttle Lever

   Remove the steering column shrouds to access the power shuttle lever assembly and its electrical connectors.

   Replace the Switch/Sensor

   If the forward switch or synchro potentiometer is faulty, unbolt the sensor/switch assembly from the shuttle lever mechanism and disconnect the harness.

   Install the New Component

   Mount the new shuttle lever switch or synchro sensor and reconnect the wiring harness.

   Reassemble

   Reinstall the steering column covers.

   Calibrate the Transmission

   Reconnect the battery. You must perform a transmission calibration using the tractor's onboard diagnostic menu (or dealer software) so the DEC can learn the new sensor's minimum and maximum voltage values.
