Check the cause
Test the shuttle lever's reverse, neutral, and deadman switches for invalid signals or internal shorts
Inspect the wiring harness connecting the FNR shuttle lever to the TCU for chafed wires, loose pins, or corrosion that could cause resistance to spike above the normal operational range
Verify that the 5V reference voltage and the TCU supply voltage are within spec, as voltage irregularities can trigger false plausibility errors
Check the transmission's FNR control solenoids for proper resistance and mechanical binding

Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to confirm DEC 2621 / SPN 519185.00 is active.
Inspect the Shuttle Lever
Remove the steering column trim to access the FNR shuttle lever. Disconnect the lever's electrical connector.
Test Continuity
Using a multimeter, probe the shuttle lever switch pins while moving the lever through Forward, Neutral, and Reverse. Compare the resistance values against the OEM service manual specifications.
Check the Synchronizer Solenoids
Locate the FNR control solenoids on the transmission valve body. Disconnect and test the solenoids for proper Ohms resistance.
Replace Faulty Component
If the shuttle lever switch is outputting out-of-range resistance, replace the shuttle lever assembly. If the transmission solenoid is failing, replace the FNR control solenoid.
Calibrate and Clear
Reassemble the components, clear the fault codes via the EST, and perform a transmission shuttle calibration procedure. Test drive the tractor to ensure the F/N synchronizer engages smoothly without throwing the code.
