Case IH 2636 – ZTC: Transmission clutch slipping error. Transmission clutch overload condition.

The transmission control system has detected that the transmission clutch is slipping while under load or is experiencing an overload condition. This typically occurs when the torque applied exceeds the holding capacity of the clutch, which can be caused by mechanical wear, low hydraulic pressure, or excessive load.

   Determine if the fault code is active or stored (pending)

   Verify the transmission hydraulic oil level and check the transmission oil filters for clogs

   Attempt a transmission clutch calibration using the tractor's H-menu or AFS Pro display to see if the ZTC controller can relearn engagement points

   Verify the voltage supply to the ZTC controller and check the transmission speed/pressure sensors for abnormal readings

   Access transmission housing

   Split the tractor to access the transmission housing.

   Remove CVT module

   Remove the CVT module.

   Rebuild or replace clutch components

   Physically rebuild or replace the damaged clutch packs and seals.
