Case IH 2660-19 - ACM – ACM: Joystick disconnected

The Armrest Control Module has lost communication with or can no longer detect the multi-function joystick on the armrest.

   Check if the Armrest Control Module (ACM) has the latest software version, as updates frequently resolve phantom joystick communication drops

2. 2

   Remove the armrest trim and inspect the wiring harness running from the multi-function joystick to the ACM for pinched wires, especially near pivot points

3. 3

   Disconnect the joystick connector and inspect for bent pins, pushed-out pins, or corrosion

   Verify that the joystick is receiving proper reference voltage and ground from the ACM

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and turn off the battery disconnect switch to prevent electrical spikes.

   Access the ACM

   Remove the screws securing the top/side panels of the Case IH MultiController armrest to expose the internal ACM and joystick sub-harness.

   Clean and Reseat

   Disconnect the joystick harness. Apply electrical contact cleaner to both ends of the connector. Reconnect firmly, ensuring the locking tab clicks into place.

   Test Operation

   Turn the battery switch back on, power up the tractor, and check the AFS Pro 1200 display to see if the 2660-19 code changes from 'Active' to 'Stored/Inactive'.

   Replace Component

   If the wiring is intact and the code remains active, the multi-function joystick assembly has likely suffered an internal circuit failure and must be replaced.

   Calibration

   If the joystick or the ACM is replaced (or if an ACM software update is flashed), you must perform the EHR (Electronic Hydraulic Remote) and joystick calibration procedure via the AFS display or the dealer service tool so the ACM can learn the new joystick's X/Y axis parameters.
