Case IH 2664-13 - ACM – ACM: Joystick keypad sensor disagreement
Issue description
This fault code indicates that the control module is receiving conflicting, implausible, or out-of-range signals from the sensors or switches within the multi-function joystick keypad assembly. The redundant safety sensors inside the joystick are not matching up.
Applies to these machines
4 machines- MAGNUM AFS Connect
- Case IH Magnum AFS Connect series
- Case IH Steiger AFS Connect series
- Case IH Puma series
Check the cause
Verify ACM Configuration using the Electronic Service Tool (EST) to ensure the Joystick Option (Parameter 45) is correctly set to Installed.
Check for accompanying codes such as 2661-13 (Joystick y-axis sensor disagreement) or CAN communication errors (e.g., 2818) which point to a harness or CAN bus issue.
Inspect the wiring harness connecting the joystick keypad to the ACM for pinched wires, loose connector pins, or moisture intrusion, ensuring solid power and ground.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the battery ground cable to prevent electrical shorts while working inside the armrest.
Access the Armrest Internals
Carefully remove the plastic trim panels and retaining screws on the right-hand armrest console to expose the ACM and the bottom of the multi-function joystick.
Clean and Reseat Connections
Disconnect the main harness from the joystick keypad. Inspect the pins for corrosion or fretting. Apply a specialized electronic contact cleaner, allow it to dry, and firmly reconnect the harness.
Test the Joystick
Reconnect the battery, turn the key on, and use the EST to monitor the live data from the joystick's X and Y axes, as well as the keypad button states.
Replace the Component
If the live data still shows a sensor disagreement (the internal redundant sensors do not match), the joystick keypad assembly has suffered an internal hardware failure and must be replaced. If the joystick is proven good but the module cannot process the inputs, the ACM must be replaced.
Recalibrate
If the joystick or ACM is replaced, use the EST to configure the new module, clear the inactive 2664-13 fault code, and perform any required hydraulic/joystick calibration routines.

Multi-Function Joystick / Keypad Assembly
Varies heavily by exact machine configuration (e.g., number of electrohydraulic remotes, loader prep). Refer to the specific machine's parts catalog.
