Case IH 2664-19 - ACM – ACM: Joystick keypad configuration
Issue description
A configuration mismatch or setup error with the joystick keypad, indicating the control module has lost communication with the multi-function joystick keypad or the keypad is not configured correctly on the CAN bus network.
Applies to these machines
4 machines- MAGNUM AFS Connect
- Case IH Magnum AFS Connect Series (Models 180, 200, 220, 240, 250, 280, 310, 340, 380)
- Case IH Steiger Series (Models 350 to 600)
- Case IH Puma Series (Puma 175, 200)
Check the cause
Check for other active codes indicating a total loss of communication with the armrest (e.g., code 2818). If present, the issue is likely the main ACM power/ground or CAN bus.
Disassemble the armrest console and physically inspect the wiring harness connecting the joystick keypad to the ACM for disconnected plugs, backed-out pins, or chafed wires.
Use the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to verify the ACM software version and ensure the joystick keypad is properly configured and recognized.
Repair steps
Power down tractor
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts while working on the sensitive armrest electronics.
Access the ACM and joystick
Remove the protective covers and panels on the right-hand armrest console to expose the Armrest Control Module and the base of the multi-function handle/joystick.
Repair or reconnect harness
Securely reconnect the keypad harness if unplugged. If the wiring is damaged, repair or replace the armrest wire harness.
Replace faulty components
If wiring is intact but the keypad fails to communicate, replace the multi-function handle assembly. If the EST tool cannot communicate with the armrest at all, replace the ACM.
Recalibrate the system
Reconnect the battery, connect the Case IH EST laptop, navigate to the Armrest Control Module settings, and perform the joystick configuration/calibration routine to clear code 2664-19.
