Case IH 2675-02 - ACM – ACM: Joystick X-Axis Neutral Position Status
Issue description
The system is detecting an invalid signal or a circuit fault regarding the neutral position of the joystick's left/right (X-axis) movement. The "02" Failure Mode Identifier (FMI) signifies an "Error Indicator" (erratic, intermittent, or incorrect data).
Applies to these machines
5 machines- MAGNUM AFS Connect
- Case IH Magnum AFS Connect (Models 180, 200, 220, 240, 250, 280, 310, 340, 380)
- Case IH Steiger / Quadtrac AFS Connect
- Case IH Optum Series
- Case IH Maxxum Series (with MultiControl Armrest)
Check the cause
Check the Multi-Function Handle (MFH) / joystick for physical damage or debris that might prevent the joystick from returning to its true neutral position on the X-axis.
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the joystick and the Armrest Control Module (ACM) for bent pins, corrosion, or chafed wires.
Verify that the joystick is receiving the correct 5V reference voltage and has a solid ground connection.
Connect the Case IH EST diagnostic tool to the CAN1/ISOBUS diagnostic port to monitor the live data of the joystick X-axis position status. Check if the status changes from '0x00: Not in Neutral Position' to '0x01: In neutral Position' when moving the joystick.
Attempt to recalibrate the joystick and Selective Control Valves (SCVs) through the AFS Pro 1200 or Pro 700 display monitor.
Repair steps
Power down the tractor and disconnect the battery
to prevent electrical shorts.
Remove the armrest cover/bezel
to access the internal components of the MultiControl Armrest.
Locate the joystick / Multi-Function Handle assembly and disconnect its electrical harness connector.
Remove the mounting screws securing the joystick to the armrest console.
Install the replacement joystick and secure it with the mounting hardware.
Reconnect the electrical harness.
Reinstall the armrest bezel and covers.
Reconnect the battery and power on the tractor.
Navigate to the tractor's display monitor and perform the mandatory SCV/Joystick calibration procedure
so the ACM can learn the new joystick's neutral, minimum, and maximum X/Y axis values.
