Case IH 2677 – Transmission Control Unit (TCU): Transmission engaged in powered zero or intermediate park lock commanded longer than expected

Issue description

The transmission control system detected that the park lock was commanded to engage (or remained engaged) longer than the specified time limit while the transmission was actively holding the tractor in 'powered zero' mode.

Applies to these machines

  • Steiger T4B
  • Puma 165 CVX
  • Puma 180 CVX
  • Puma 195 CVX
  • Puma 210 CVX
  • Puma 225 CVX

Check the cause

  1. Check if the gear selector is physically stuck in Park or if the park lock fails to release when commanded

  2. Inspect the park lock solenoid (shift interlock solenoid) and its electrical connections for faults, shorts, or a failed actuator

  3. Verify that there are no CAN BUS message faults between the Cab Module / Arm Rest Module and the Transmission Module

  4. Check for hydraulic pressure issues that could cause the park lock to hang, which may indicate clogged transmission filters
