Case IH 2686-02 - ACM – ACM: Joystick shuttle reverse switch circuit fault
Issue description
The control module is receiving an unstable or implausible electrical signal from the shuttle reverse switch circuit, indicating the signal data is erratic, intermittent, or incorrect.

Check the cause
Inspect the X846 connector linking the S-111 Shuttle Reverse Switch to the ACM
Check the wiring harness between the joystick/armrest and the ACM for chafing, loose pins, or corrosion
Verify the ground and voltage supply to the armrest control module
Repair steps
Disconnect battery
Disconnect the battery to prevent short circuits.
Access switch and connector
Remove the armrest console cover to access the S-111 switch and X846 connector.
Test switch continuity
Test the S-111 switch for continuity when toggled into the reverse position.
Replace switch
If the switch fails continuity testing or shows high resistance, replace the switch.
Repair or replace wiring harness
If the switch tests good, repair or replace the damaged section of the armrest wiring harness.
Reassemble and clear codes
Reassemble the armrest, reconnect the battery, and clear the fault codes via the diagnostic display.
