Case IH 2687 (519411.12) - DEC – DEC: DEC controller error: SMP AD check failed

An error logged against the DEC controller generally indicates a failure in the PTO safety mechanisms, signal processing, or hydraulic/electrical control of the PTO clutch.

   Test the square wave signal from the PTO speed sensor when the engine is started

   Check the rear PTO twist sensor signals

   Verify the solenoid valve control (B1) and oil pressure build-up to the PTO brake

   Inspect the wiring harness connecting the DEC controller to the PTO sensors
