2690 (519285.11) - DEC

Case IH 2690 (519285.11) - DEC – MMP: Error load disable from MMP

Issue description

The system has detected an anomaly that forced a specific control module (abbreviated as "MMP") to disable an electrical or hydraulic load to prevent damage.

Applies to these machines

  • MAXXUM T4E
  • VESTRUM CVX
  • Magnum
  • Steiger
  • Puma
  • Optum
  • Axial-Flow

Check the cause

  1. Check system voltage to ensure the battery voltage is stable (above 12.1V resting, ~14V running). Low voltage can cause modules to disable heavy loads.

  2. Scan for accompanying codes using the Case IH EST to look for secondary voltage, short-to-ground, or communication (U-code) faults.

  3. Inspect main chassis harnesses for chafing, particularly around pivot points or areas exposed to heat.

  4. Perform a hard battery reset by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes to clear latched logic errors in the modules.

Repair steps

  1. Connect diagnostic tool

Connect the tractor to the Case IH EST (Electronic Service Tool) laptop.

  2. Run load-test routine

Use the EST software to run a load-test routine on the MMP module to identify which specific circuit (e.g., a PTO solenoid, lighting circuit, or hydraulic valve) was disabled.

  3. Trace wiring

Trace the specific wire of the identified disabled circuit to locate and repair the fault.

Parts you might need
